The Objects of Pilton Village Trust, as agreed in 2002 and accepted by the Charity Commission:
THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A VILLAGE HALL FOR USE BY THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, INCLUDING USE FOR: (A) MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES, AND (B) OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION, SPORT AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS.
The Constitution
The Trustees are elected at an Annual General Meeting held in the Village Hall usually in November each year. See lower down on this page for details of this year's AGM.
If you click below you can download the version of the constitution agreed in 2014. However, in 2016 the charity commission said that the Objects of the Trust it has accepted and which appear on their website are those that were agreed in 2002. The correct objects of the Trust are, therefore, those shown on this page.
